Virtual device used

This request grants access to a virtual device.

Description

The user selects a virtual device for the call.

In most of the cases, this is not what the user wants. This can be due by having installed software such as OBS Studio on the computer.

What do we do here?

We check whereas a getUserMedia request gives access to a virtual device. We mark an observation when the label of this device contains at least one of the following word: “"virtual", "teams", "blackhole", "obs".
