Monthly billing cycles

Understand the billing and processing cycles used by rtcStats.

There are 3 separate processing cycles taking place at rtcstats.com:

  1. Payments
  2. Credits allowance
  3. Retention

Payments

Payments take place at the moment of payment (obviously).

When you make a monthly payment that is done via PayPal subscriptions and handled by PayPal on a monthly basis on the same day of the month every month.

For yearly plans, we do that manually, but the process is similar in nature - your subscription will be for a full year and the renewal will take place manually for another year once we get there.

Credits allowance

Credits in an account get depleted throughout the month based on your usage of them. When the first day of the following month beings, they are replenished.

As an example, if you are on a Developer account with 500 monthly credits, and on the 31st of January you have only 23 credits left, on the 1st of February that number will be replenished back to 500 credits.

Retention

Retention periods are calculated per uploaded file separately based on the time of upload.

We have cron jobs running to remove old files. While they don't run daily, we do enforce the retention period on the files in all accounts.
